What you are actually booking
Our wellness is not a facility you share with the other guests. Each session, the entire complex is assigned to one party: you close the door behind you and nobody else joins. That lasts 2.5 hours, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.
In practice that means walking from the heated indoor pool to the sauna, and from the jacuzzi to the massage chairs, without waiting anywhere or running into anyone. Guests used to wellness hotels notice the silence most.
The session is for guests aged 16 and over. Towels are provided — two per person; bring your own slippers and bathrobe, or add bathrobe hire to your booking.
What the complex holds
Why the wellness is booked separately
Because the complex is reserved exclusively for one party at a time, it cannot simultaneously stand open to every guest staying the night. The wellness is therefore not included in the room rate and is not freely accessible during your stay — you reserve a time slot, much as you would book a table at a restaurant.
That is also exactly why it works: you are paying for privacy, not for access. If you are staying with us, you pay €179 instead of €199.

Without an overnight stay, a wellness session costs €199. Room rates differ: the rooms with a bubble bath start higher. The live price for your dates appears in the booking module below.
How to book it
- 1 Pick your arrival and departure dates below and see which rooms are free.
- 2 Tick 'wellness' under the extras — that gives you the €179 rate instead of €199.
- 3 Choose your time slot, either while booking or afterwards through the link in your confirmation email.
- 4 You receive a confirmation with the day and time of your session. Nothing else to arrange.
Where you end up
The Burgemeestershof stands in Massemen, a village belonging to Wetteren, among the meadows at the edge of the Scheldt water meadows. By car you are in Ghent in fifteen minutes and in Brussels in half an hour; the E40 motorway is close by.
The entrance to the B&B is around the corner, on the Kortenbosstraat. The mansion on the Kriephoekstraat is our private home. Parking is free on our own grounds, with a charging point for electric cars (bring your own charging card) and one for e-bikes.
FAQ
Can I use the wellness without reserving?
No. The complex is assigned to one party per session, so a time slot is always needed. Without a reservation the wellness is either taken by someone else or closed.
How many people can join?
The price covers two people. Extra guests are €40 per person, up to the capacity of the space. Guests are welcome from the age of 16.
When can I come?
There are sessions from morning to evening, on weekdays too. Available slots appear in the calendar on the booking page — the popular Friday and Saturday hours go first.
What should I bring?
We provide towels, two per person. Bring your own slippers and a bathrobe, or add bathrobe hire while booking. Swimwear is not required — you are on your own.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. A voucher for a wellness session, an overnight stay or both can be ordered online; the recipient picks their own date.
