Three rooms with a bubble bath
De Bernaige, De Galmart and De Villaine all three have a free-standing bubble bath in the room: a tub with air jets, beside the bed, under the timbers of the 18th-century farmstead. Not a full jacuzzi — that one is in the wellness.
De Galmart and De Villaine are mirror images of each other: two ground-floor suites, both with a natural stone washbasin, from €199 a night with breakfast. Which of the two is free makes little difference to your stay.
De Bernaige is on the first floor, with golden accents and leather armchairs, from €190. All three sleep two, breakfast included.
The pool sits inside the private wellness
We have no hotel pool with everyone walking through it. The heated indoor pool belongs to the private wellness, and that is assigned to one party per session: for 2.5 hours nobody else comes in.
That means two things. The pool is not included in the room rate — you reserve the wellness separately, at €179 if you are staying with us. And it means you really do swim alone, even on a fully booked Saturday.

Without an overnight stay a wellness session costs €199. All rooms include breakfast with local produce, free wifi and private parking.

Where you end up
The Burgemeestershof stands in Massemen, a village belonging to Wetteren, among the meadows at the edge of the Scheldt water meadows. By car you are in Ghent in fifteen minutes and in Brussels in half an hour; the E40 motorway is close by.
Parking is free on our own grounds, with a charging point for electric cars (bring your own charging card). The entrance to the B&B is on the Kortenbosstraat, around the corner from our private home.
FAQ
Can I use the pool without booking the wellness?
No. The pool belongs to the private wellness, and that is assigned to one party per session. Without a reservation someone else is inside or the complex is closed.
Is the bubble bath in the room the same as the jacuzzi?
No. In the room stands a free-standing bubble bath: a tub with air jets, yours whenever you like. The full jacuzzi is in the private wellness and belongs to the 2.5-hour wellness session.
Which of the three should I pick?
All three sleep two. De Galmart and De Villaine are mirror images of each other and sit on the ground floor — it makes little difference which of the two is free. De Bernaige is on the first floor and a little more classic, with golden accents and leather armchairs. The room cards on our homepage show photos of all three.
Do the other rooms have a bath or a shower?
De Clementina and De Ferraris both have an ordinary bath in their private bathroom. De Weidekamer has a shower.
Can we come with four?
The rooms with a bubble bath sleep two. The wellness session can take more — €40 per extra person — but the jacuzzi there is for two. For a group, two rooms is the better booking.
