What a session looks like
You come as a couple (or with more, up to the capacity of the space), and during your session nobody else joins. No shared changing room, no queue at the sauna, no strangers in the pool. You have 2.5 hours, counted from the moment you walk in.
There are sessions from morning to evening, on weekdays as well. Friday and Saturday afternoons go first; a Tuesday morning is usually still free the same week.
Towels are ready for you, two per person. Bring your own slippers and bathrobe, or hire bathrobes. The wellness is open to guests aged 16 and over.
What the complex holds
Why people come here without staying over
A public sauna is cheaper and a wellness hotel is more complete. What you get here sits in between: the facilities of a small hotel, without anyone else in them. That is why most guests come back — for a birthday, an anniversary, or simply a free afternoon.
If you would rather stay the night, the same session costs €179 instead of €199 and you have breakfast with local produce the next morning. That combination has its own page on private wellness with an overnight stay.
What it costs
| Price | Included | |
|---|---|---|
| Wellness without an overnight stay | €199 per session | 2.5 hours, the entire complex, towels for two |
| Extra person | €40 per person | Towels included |
| Bathrobe hire | optional add-on | Otherwise bring your own |
| Wellness with an overnight stay | €179 per session | Same session, €20 less if you stay the night |
Parking is free on our own grounds. There is a charging point for electric cars — bring your own charging card.

Where you end up
The Burgemeestershof stands in Massemen, a village belonging to Wetteren, among the meadows at the edge of the Scheldt water meadows. Fifteen minutes from Ghent, twenty from Aalst, half an hour from Brussels. The E40 motorway is close by.
The entrance is on the Kortenbosstraat, around the corner from the mansion. That house on the Kriephoekstraat is our private home — please do not ring there.
FAQ
Can I still book last minute?
Sometimes. The calendar shows what is still free, including today and tomorrow. Weekday hours stay available longest; for a Friday or Saturday afternoon, book a week or two ahead.
How many of us can come?
The price covers two. Extra guests are €40 per person. The jacuzzi is for two; the pool, sauna and steam room have room for the whole group. Guests are welcome from the age of 16.
Is there a shower and a changing area?
Yes, both inside the complex, and during your session they are yours alone. No rushing, and no changing among strangers.
Can we eat or drink something?
You can add tapas and cava to your session. For a proper meal we are happy to point you to the restaurants within walking or cycling distance; there is a list on our homepage.
Can I give a session as a gift?
Yes. Order a voucher online; the recipient picks their own date and time. A popular present for a birthday or an anniversary.
